This is the space for you and your group members to work on your chapter, Introduction to Information Literacy and Safety | - | Supplemental materials. Ask questions, point out issues, write and edit text that can be placed in the wikibook.

How to get started with this wiki, click on the "edit this page" button and begin typing. Do not forget to save your work. You can type here in this textbox. As you look at the page you will notice a discussion tab and a history tab at the top of the page. You can use the discussion tab to talk to each other about the information that has been posted and the history tab to see the history of edits and editions made to your page. The history tab is also the place you want to go if something was accidentally deleted from your page. When you click on the "edit this page" button you will also see at the bottom of the text box, a place for you to type helpful information to your group members about changes or editions you made to the p age entitled, ÔÇťoptional: comment for page history. Every time you go to your page to make a comment or additon type a brief summary in that box. This will make it easier when you look at the history page to determine what is new on the page.

CHAPTER 9 IDEAS

The group before us did a good job outlining the topic. What else could we add? I've listed some resources and general ideas. Feel free to add & change!

Here is another idea/suggestion:
How do you feel about annotating some of our "top" resource picks? Maybe we should focus on a few of our favorite sites and provide a short description of each. That way, teachers will be able to get a better idea of what to expect before they actually click on the link. I think there are some great online resources that we'll be able to share and highlight on our page. I like the ones that you added - and as a fellow elementary teacher, I especially love the addition of NetSmartz. It looks like we'll be able to provide a substantial list of sites and I will volunteer to work on some of the summaries of our favorites. Let me know what you think!

Looking at our chapter for the wikibook, I think it might be a good idea for us to clean up the presentation of the topic just a bit. Titles especially seem a little long-winded and could perhaps be more concise and to the point. For example, instead of "Here is an overview of some of the dangers that students could encounter" maybe we could just say "Possible Student Dangers." I know this is probably just a minor "issue," but I think it makes the site a bit more user friendly and easier to follow.
